“I choose to open my heart to God’s timing. I release my deadlines, agendas and striving to the gentle yet often swift pacing of God.”
Julia Cameron
Last time our key word was Relax……today we are going to focus on two words – Remember and Reward.
First of all remember not to let shame or guilt over your disorganization keep you isolated. Ask for help. At home this means have a family meeting – be vulnerable…..share with those around you where you are at. Let them know that this is a big deal for you. When you are truly vulnerable to share your feelings you may be surprised at the response you get.
Remember too, that your home didn’t get this way overnight. It is going to be a process to get things organized.
Be careful of the perfectionist attitude. It can get you in trouble. There will probably never be the perfect time to get organized. You are going to have to get used to being productive in the little chunks of time that you can grab along the way.
It is important to pamper yourself through this process. Set-up a reward system for projects completed. Be accountable to a friend or spouse to complete your tasks on schedule.
It truly is a brand new year…..and a fresh slate. Tackle life with a positive outlook and you will go far.
Remember our theme for 2017:
In order……to live a life of purpose.
