Several years ago Rhonda and I had the opportunity to attend a Set Free Retreat, along with our staff, at Southland Church in Manitoba. It was a life changing experience for us as we reflected on our present and past and the beliefs that held us captive.
From the very beginning of Heart of the Matter Rhonda and I have felt that outward chaos and clutter in our lives is only a symptom of what is going on inside of us. Can you identify with that truth in your life? This belief became our mission and was significant in choosing the name for our business. Since its beginnings back in 2004, Heart of the Matter’s mission has been to equip and mentor individuals to get their space in order so that they have the time and energy to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.
We are excited to announce that the Set Free Conference is now being offered right here close to home. By letting you know about this event it is a way that we can equip and mentor you to fulfill your purpose in life!

Set Free! Retreat is a weekend set aside to focus on learning how to deal with sin, hurts, hang-ups, and struggles that we all face on a daily basis. Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, then you really are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you FREE” (John 8:31-32 NIV). We have seen many conference participants set free from sinful strongholds and hurts in their lives through Christ’s power found in confession, forgiveness and inner healing.

Who can go to the Set Free! Retreat?
Wherever you are in your walk, and if you are 16 years or older, we encourage you to attend! Those under 18 need a parent to fill out and sign a permission form available upon request.
How do I sign up and pay for the retreat?
Just click this link. Follow the steps through to the checkout process. It’s just that simple.
What do I need to bring?
You will need to bring your Bible, a notebook and a pen. Above all, bring a heart that is willing to be ministered to by the Lord Himself!
What is the cost of the retreat and where is it held?
Set Free! will be held at Wilmot Centre Church. The cost of the retreat is $50 (incl. taxes) per person. This includes two meals and retreat materials. Full payment of $50 is due when you register in order to secure your spot.
What is the schedule of the weekend?
Registration is between 6:00pm – 6:30pm at Wilmot Centre Church. The first session begins at 6:30pm. After the sessions on Friday, participants go home for the night and are asked to be on time for the first Saturday session at 8:30am (breakfast not included). Set Free! runs until Saturday evening with lunch and dinner provided. Please plan to attend the entire retreat.
